Absinthe spoons
The drinking of absinthe is in many cases preceded by a special ritual: For this, a perforated absinthe spoon gets placed over the glass's opening with absinthe-soaked sugar cubes on it. They are then set on fire, which will make the sugar caramelized. Once it starts to blister, it is quenched with water which is used to infuse the absinthe (with a ratio of 1:3 to 1:5) and dissolve the sugar. Fireproof and stylish spoons with a firm hold can be found in this category.
