Irish - Giffard Syrup (1,0l)At the end of the Second World War, the last six irish distilleries were producing little or nothing. But one day Joe Sheridans got an idea: the Irish Coffee. He was barkeeper and he was working in Foyes, Irland. There the flying boats
refuel the huge airplanes befor they start to transatlantic flight. The Americans did not enjoy the Whiskey very much and Joe Sheridans created the Irish Coffee with hot, sweetened coffee and poured Whiskey in it. Finally he topped this
hot drink with slightly whipped cream. The Irish Coffee was very well received and the travel editor Stanton Delaplane took it with him to America. He made the Irish Coffee very popular in his favourit pub.
