Although humans were able to handle the ripeness and were extending the harvest. With the discovery of the "New World", settlers discovered as well big red coloured and tasty strawberries. The fathers of our well known strawberry date back to the New World, as well. This hybrid were brought to us by Amédée Francois Frezier in 1714.
