Vanilla - Giffard Syrup (1,0l)The vanilla is a climbing plant and it is mostly found in tropical forests. The big blossoms opens only a few hours a day. Meanwhile hummingbirds, bees, and other insects pollinate the blossoms. After one month the vanilla is 15 to 20cm long and 1cm thick. The pod needs around about six months to ripen.
Usually the pods are picked before they are ripe, otherwise you can not ferment them. The vanilla pod gets macerated for four weeks: cooking in hot water and chilling in closed containers.<br>

2cm fresh peeled cucumber<br>
2cl ginger liqueur<br>
0,5cl Vanilla syrup<br>
Muddle the cucumber into the shaker. Fill it with ice cubes. Pour all ingredients in it. Shake vigorously. Double strain into the martini glass. Garnish with ginger.<br>
