When fish need to shine, plates need to stay fresh, and processes need to run cold, the Brema G Series 160A HC flake ice maker provides the right reserve: up to 157 kg of flake ice per 24 hours. The ice flakes (approx. −0,5 °C) cling together, can be shaped and dosed precisely by weight or volume – ideal for presentation, processing, and production. The ice maker is air-cooled and can be combined with external storage containers in a modular fashion.
How flake ice is producedThe ice flakes are produced according to a proven concept: a fine layer of ice forms in the cylindrical stainless steel evaporator. A rotating screw continuously and evenly lifts this layer and crushes it into loose ice flakes at around −0,5 °C. The result: freshly falling, malleable flakes with a large contact surface – ideal for coating goods and cooling them evenly.
Contemporary cooling concept – air cooling and climate-friendly refrigerantFor stable rated performance, theair-cooled version requires free airflow and sufficient distance from walls and other equipment. R290 (propane) is used as the refrigerant in the cooling process; due to its very low greenhouse effect, it is environmentally friendly and energy-efficient at the same time – a modern solution.
Modular design – storage tank of your choiceThe G 160A HC does not have an integrated storage container for flake ice; storage is controlled by external Brema storage containers. Depending on your needs, space, and desired output, you can combine Bin 110, Bin 200, or RB 100 with the device. This allows you to start small and expand as your needs grow – without having to replace the base unit.
Areas of application – wherever surface area countsFish and delicatessen counters, buffets and mise en place, wellness & medicine: flake ice covers large areas, protects surfaces and can be shoveled, shaped and dispensed. It also offers advantages in chemistry/pharmacy and industrial temperature control processes – precisely distributed, quickly available, clean to handle.
Hygiene & care – quick to clean, long-lasting stabilityAISI 304 stainless steel is highly durable and can be cleaned quickly. Rounded inner edges can be cleaned quickly and hygienically; removable components can be washed separately in the sink. This ensures consistent basic hygiene and ice quality – with short, efficient cleaning routines on a daily basis.
Installation & water qualityStart off on the right foot: Professional installation is essential to ensure that your ice machine runs smoothly and reliably achieves its rated performance. For optimal water quality, we recommend a water filter that reduces hardness and particles – this is good for taste and clarity, component protection, and longer maintenance intervals.
Your advantages at a glance- 157 kg/24 h – high daily output for presentation & processing
- Flaky ice (approx. −0,5 °C) – flat, malleable, gentle
- Modular – can be combined with Bin 110, Bin 200, RB 100
- R290 (propane) – efficient and sustainable
- AISI 304 stainless steel – hygienic and easy to clean
