Irreplaceable behind the bar: Syrup! It is an essential ingredient in countless drinks and dishes (for reasons of taste and colour) and can replace fresh ingredients that may not be available otherwise. There are basically two different variants: On the one hand there is bar syrup, which can be stored without cooling even after opening because of its sugar base; on the other side we have fruit syrup, which in contrast requires cooling once it's open.
