Moldable cold for presentation and storage

Flake ice comes into play when products need to be gently bedded in a layer rather than frozen solid. The Brema GB 903A HC flake ice maker delivers up to 113 kg of flake ice per 24 hours. The ice flakes (approx. −0.5 °C) nestle against the product, cool it quickly, and can be dosed precisely by weight or volume – ideal for display, processing, and process cooling.

High-quality ice technology

The ice maker uses this technology to produce high-quality flake ice with consistent quality: a thin layer of ice forms in the stainless steel evaporator, which is continuously loosened by a rotating screw. This creates uniform, malleable flakes with a large contact surface – for efficient, gentle cooling.

Environmentally friendly and air-cooled

This ice machine uses R290 (propane) as a refrigerant – energy-efficient, modern, and with a very low greenhouse effect. For the air-cooled version, good air flow at the installation site is important to reliably dissipate heat.

Areas of application – from the fish counter to the laboratory

Gentle cooling with flake ice is equally necessary for fish and delicatessen displays, in restaurant kitchens, and on buffets. It also scores highly with its properties in wellness & spa, medical logistics, chemical, pharmaceutical, and industrial temperature control tasks: malleable flake ice ensures rapid surface cooling and can be precisely shaped.

Easy-care design

Well-thought-out details characterize the design of this ice machine. The AISI 304 stainless steel housing offers smooth, hygienic surfaces. Rounded inner contours and removable components simplify thorough, regular cleaning—this creates manageable maintenance processes and ensures consistently high ice quality.

Installation & water quality – the basis for rated values

Proper installation is essential to ensure that the ice machine runs smoothly and reliably achieves the specified nominal values. Our recommendation: A water filter reduces limescale and particles – good for ice quality, system protection, and low maintenance.
