This funny and colourful corkscrew was designed as a correspondent part to Anna G. by Alessandro Mendini for Alessi in 2003.

This colourful screwpull looks like an adolescent which impresses by its smart andarch look. When you see this simple corkscrew, you take delight in opening wine bottles. The head symolises the screwing knob. The hat and the big ears frame a smiling face. Due to the P.T.F.E. coated steel spiral, you easily can screw into the cork.

Alessandro Mendini designed this smiling man in 2003 for Alessi. The extraordinary design is made of chromed zamak and polyamide and is an ironic tribute to itself. This figure was inspired by the corkscrew Anna G. and enricheseach household.
