Elderflower grows in bushes or small trees near buildings. You can find the plant in the northern hemisphere, parts of australia, asia and south america. The black elderflower is popular in europe, blooms in may and june, and is harvested until july. It has a healing effect and is used for teas against colds and fever. The black elderflower has black berries, they ripen in summer and can be picked in autumn. Just be a little patient and wait until they are really black. They are mildly toxic as long as they are unripe.

You can make delicious drinks and desserts with this elderflower syrup by monin. Just mix it with prosecco or white wine, put some ice cubes in it and you will have your perfect summer drink. This small bottle (0,25ml) is perfect to try out new recipes.
