The black elderflower is popular in europe, blooms in may and june, and is harvested until july. It has a healing effect and is used for teas against colds and fever. The black elderflower has black berries, they ripen in summer and can be picked in autumn. Just be a little patient and wait until they are really black. They are mildly toxic as long as they are unripe.
