The hand-cut pattern is called 'Manhattan' and resembles the district's landscape of buildings with long, vertical lines. With a little phantasy, a dynamic skyline made of skyscrapers can be seen in the glass's design. At the same time, New York City is known for its exclusive and diverse cocktail and bar culture. This whisky glass by Stölzle Lausitz is part of their series 'New York Bar'. To give the cocktail glasses in this series an urban flair, some of them feature decorative cut patterns. This whiskey tumbler, for example, bears the precise 'Manhattan' cut, which is based on the linear city grid of the New York district carrying the same name. Lines of varying lengths divide the lower half of the glass body into even rectangles, while the surface of the indentations is kept matte to visually stand out.
