Blueberries are native in North Europe and Asia, whereby cultivated blueberries - as we know - have their roots in the USA. Blueberries grow on small brushes and can be harvested between July and September. Blueberries are consumed fresh as well as processed in the kitchen for jam, cake or compote. Moreover it is said that the blue-black berries have healing power such as an anti-inflammatory effect or as a part of preparations against retinal diseases.
The Blueberry-Syrup by Giffard has a vibrant red colour with tiny violet reflections. You can use this fruity syrup to create delicious lemonades, iced teas and cocktails. Furthermore it is usable to prepare ice cream, shakes and desserts.
