The Bordeaux glass from the series 'Verbelle' has a traditional shape consisting of a straight stem, a bulbous chalice and a robust bottom plate. One of its features are the thin, straight walls of the chalice, which do not taper towards the brim. Therefore the opening is quite large, which allows to perceive the complex aromas long before taking the first sip. The bottom plate is also unique as it too is mostly flat.
The straight contours of this Bordeaux glass are balanced out by the curved shape of the bulbous chalice. The red wine glass is recommended for mild grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Merlot, but also dry Wines from the Navarra region.

The Bordeaux glass from the series 'Verbelle' by Zwiesel Glas was inspired by the shapes of traditional red wine glasses. However it bring a modern design to the table. The straight walls of the chalice harmonize well with the straight stem and the flat bottom plate. The wafer-thin walls and the large opening diameter of the glass make for an intense tasting and smelling experience. For additional elegance, the Zwiesel logo is engraved in the base.
