Bar Butler: bottle holders, portioners

Bar Butler – mechanical assistants for bartenders

Every bartender's dream: A personal butler who holds the bottles and lends a hand with the accurate and precise pouring, so that you have your head and hands free to give your guests the greatest possible attention. But it doesn't have to remain a dream, even if in this case it's not about a human helper. So much the better: These butlers never get sick, don't have to be paid and aren't even particularly expensive to buy. We're talking about a series of technical aids, referred to as 'bar butlers'; namely dispensers, bottle holders and rotating stands. With their help, you can make the work behind the bar much more pleasant.

The various bottle holders and dispensers sometimes work in combination. In the following, however, we will introduce each one individually and explain the most important details.

Bottle dispensers

Bottle dispensers basically fulfill the same function as portioners, but are not attached to the loose bottle, but are installed in combination with a bottle holder (see below) at a fixed point on the bar. The bottle hangs overhead and is placed on the dosing device - as with a portioner, only the dosing chamber is initially filled with liquid. The portioned amount is determined by the selected dosing device. These are available in different sizes, depending on the model selected.

All standard models use the same mechanism to trigger the pouring process: the glass is pressed from below against the three-armed trigger, in the middle of which there is also the pouring opening. The content of the dosing chamber runs into the glass; the chamber then only fills up again when the mechanism is no longer being pushed upwards, thus preventing further leakage.

Counter

Various dispensers, each with different capacities, are also available in a version with a counter. Each pour is noted on the counter, which can help you calculate your next purchase and can also be a guide to when you should change the device. Depending on your requirements, there are dosing devices with a central or side-mounted counter.

Liqueurs & Viscoses

Dispensers are NOT suitable for pouring viscous drinks and/or liqueurs; these can stick to the mechanism and, due to their flow behavior, are not suitable for pouring out using a doser.

Interchangeable plugs for dispensers

Interchangeable plugs for the dispensers offered can also be found in our shop, in various sizes and designs - with or without lamellae or made of cork.

Cleaning of dispensers

Simply clean your dispensers with a bath in soapy water (approx. 55 - max. 60°C). Use the mechanism to fill the doser with it from the inside and shake it a little to loosen stubborn dirt inside. After the work is done, you should rinse the dispenser with clear water to remove soap residue.

Bottle holder

Bottle holders are aluminum frames into which bottles are clamped upside down and together with the dispenser. At the top of the frame there is a holder for the bottom of the bottle; below, the dosing device, on which the bottle (later) is attached, is locked in place by means of a mechanism. The frames themselves are fixed; usually behind the bar to ensure constant and easy access where the drinks are served. A distinction can still be made between different versions:

Single bottle holders offer space for exactly one bottle. In addition to devices for wall mounting, variants for counter mounting (clamp principle) are also available.

Multi-bottle holders come in one-row and two-row variants, both of which come in different styles.

Please note the specified bottle size (as with the dispensers), if necessary the shape (for round and square bottles) and the material of the click cap (plastic holder and mechanism; plastic holder with metal mechanism; metal holder and mechanism).

Rotating stand

Rotating stands are another alternative for storing bottles flexibly and in a particularly space-saving way. They offer space for six bottles arranged in a circle – similar to a bottle holder. However, the entire tree can be turned so that the bottle that is needed at the moment can simply be rotated to the front. Of course, simultaneous access from different sides is also possible. Depending on preference and planned application, there are two versions of this practical eye-catcher: counter rotating stand and wall mounted rotating stand.

Now it's your turn: Use the newly gained overview and put together your own personal combination of holders and dispensers to create a little order in your house bar or your business and save a lot of time and nerves when preparing drinks in the future!
