The bar strainer made of high quality stainless steel was developed in collaboration with the world-famous bartender Salvatore Calabrese. His many years of experience in cocktail mixing were incorporated into the shape and design of the trainer.
The divot in the handle is particularly practical. It hold the strainer in position on the rim of the cocktail shaker tin and makes work easier. This means that the Calabrese Strainer does not have ears, which provide support for other models. Due to its round shape, this strainer therefore fits deeper into the shaker cup.
Another highlight in functionality is the recessed sieve, which is perfect for separating egg white (diameter: 4,5cm).
The strainer's spiral can be removed and cleaned separately. The stainless steel from which the Calabrese bar sieve was made is suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher. Nevertheless, please rinse it regularly with clear water, especially if you work with citrus fruits and other acids.
