The Bordeaux glass from the series 'Verbelle' has a traditional shape consisting of a straight stem, a bulbous chalice and a robust bottom plate. One of its features are the thin, straight walls of the chalice, which do not taper towards the brim. Therefore the opening is quite large, which allows to perceive the complex aromas long before taking the first sip. The bottom plate is also unique as it too is mostly flat.
The straight contours of this Bordeaux glass are balanced out by the curved shape of the bulbous chalice. The red wine glass is recommended for mild grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Merlot, but also dry Wines from the Navarra region.

These classic-looking 'Verbelle' Bordeaux glasses by producer Zwiesel Glas look majestic and imposing due to their tall figure and straight contours. Nevertheless, they have soft sides, such as the wafer-thin rims and the long, elegant stem. All in all, the wine glasses are ideally suited for mild and even dry red wines. They consist of fine crystal glass, which is even suitable for dishwashers.
