The Fortified wine glass from the series 'Verbelle' by Zwiesel Glas has the shape of a red wine glass, but a size smaller. The wine glass was designed specifically for dessert wines and fortified wines.
Its walls are almost straight and guide the sweet aromas to the nose and mouth. The defined rim has a narrow profile and highlights every drop of the desired wine.
Since the glass has a long stem, heat from the hands does not warm up cold served drinks. This way the freshness of the drink is maintained, so that it can be enjoyed cold for a longer time.
We also recommend this wine glass for tastings and the degustation of other wines as well. The aromas are focused while at the same time the chalice offers a fairly large capacity.
Unlike many other dessert wine glasses, the fortified wine glasses from the 'Verbelle' series by Zwiesel Glas have a comparably large capacity. In terms of size, they are somewhere between regular wine glasses and conventional liqueur glasses.
Like red wines, some dessert wines develop special aromas after exchanging oxygen. The size of these fortified wine glasses comes in handy and the filling line at 0,1l helps to serve the right amount. Thanks to the stems, chilled dessert wines are not warmed up quickly by the hands. The glasses can also be used as water glasses or, for example, be served alongside other glassware from the 'Verbelle' series.
