This Alessi set includes a mixing glass and a mirrorpolished stainlesst steel Boston shaker. With these two utensils you are forearmedfor all situations. Because these profession instruments are excellently crafted,are made of high quality materials and can be easily used.
The shaker has a classic diameter of 9cm and is made of stainless steel (18/10).The outerside is mirror polished whereby the innerside is dull. It has a capacityof 500ml and is qualified for preparing one to two cocktails at once. The stainlesssteel goblet can be used as well as a mixing glass. The shaker´s wall is extremlythin. Due to the strain hardening procedure, the material becomes more flexibleand stronger.
This mixing glass has a weight of nearly 400g and is made of high quality glass.It has a common capacity of 470ml. Moreover it has a height of 16,3cm and a diameterof 8,7cm. On the upper rim is engraved the word "ALESSI". The glass has a clearbut handy shape. The glass is not suitable for gastronomy, we suggest a Libbey mixing glass.
This clear shaped Boston shaker "5050" was designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1979for Alessi. The designer itself worked closely together with the gastronomic icon from Italy: Alberto Gozzi. The Italien designer and architect was born in 1917 in Innsbruck and he died in 2007. He helped to overcome the functionality after 1945 whilst he set an energetic and colourful contrast to several kinds of intellectualism and stiffness.
