When large cooling surfaces need to be reliably supplied, but rooms cannot tolerate additional heat, the Brema G 510W HC flake ice maker offers decisive advantages: It delivers up to 435 kg of flake ice per 24 hours and, thanks to water cooling, operates quietly and without warm exhaust air. The fine ice flakes (approx. −0,5 °C) gently cling to products, distribute the cold evenly, and can be removed precisely by weight or volume
Production – from ice layer to flakesThe path to gentle surface cooling begins in the cylindrical stainless steel evaporator. There, water freezes as a wafer-thin layer. A rotating screw continuously lifts this layer and shreds it into uniform, loose flakes. This creates a flat cooling pad with a large contact surface – ideal for sensitive goods and stable process conditions
Water cooling – quiet operation, no warm airThe water-cooled version dissipates waste heat via the cooling water. The result: very quiet operation and no warm exhaust air at the installation site – perfect for narrow counters, air-conditioned areas, or very warm environments. An inlet/outlet and the planned water consumption are required. The refrigerant R290 (propane) is used in the refrigeration cycle – energy-efficient and environmentally friendly with a very low greenhouse effect
Modular – storage according to planStorage capacity must match the workflow. The G 510W HC is a modular device without integrated storage and is combined with external Brema containers – e.g., Bin 110, Bin 200, Bin 350, Bin 550V DS, DRB 100, DRB 500, DRB 1200, or RB 100. This allows you to scale storage volume, footprint, and removal precisely according to frequency and process – and can be retrofitted at any time
Areas of application – where gentle, even cooling is requiredWhether for fish/delicatessen presentation, mise en place & buffet, wellness/medicine or chemistry/pharmacy: flake ice cools gently over a large area. The easily distributable and moldable ice flakes are also used for industrial temperature control tasks
Hygiene & care – quicker cleaning, less downtimeDesigned for efficient routines: The AISI 304 stainless steel housing ensures hygienic, robust surfaces. Rounded inner radii and removable components can be thoroughly cleaned in just a few quick steps. This keeps hygiene and ice quality consistently high – with short, predictable cleaning intervals
Installation & water quality – setup that maintains the rated valuesTop performance starts with the setup. It is best to start with a professional installation as a prerequisite for trouble-free operation. This ensures that your ice machine produces high-quality ice on a permanent basis and reliably achieves the specified nominal values. We also recommend a water filter that reduces hardness (lime) and particles – this protects the system and reduces maintenance requirements
