This Cabernet glass from Riedel's 'Extreme' collection was designed specifically for enjoying wines from the Cabernet grape. These are typically full-bodied, fruity and rich in tannins, with a rough note underlying. To find the perfect balance between these characteristics, it requires a generous goblet with a deep-set belly and rather high-necked stature. Riedel's Cabernet glass ideally meets all these requirements. In this way, it is able to emphasize the fruitiness of the red wine and at the same time relativizes the bitterness of the tannins, so that the perfect balance is found in terms of taste. The color of the red wine also comes into its own in the 'Extreme' wine glasses, as they are made of transparent crystal glass.
