This elegant and extraordinary corkscrew was designed by Alessandro Mendini for Alessi in 1994.
This silver coloured screwpull looks like a conventionalised woman whereby the levers are figured as the arms, the corpus is covered by a silver dress and the head is knob. The elegant dress seems to be waved and the short haircut frames a smiling face. You do not need a large exertion of force to use this screwpull.
Alessandro Mendini designed this smiling woman in 1994 for Alessi. The extraordinary design is made of chromed zamak and is an ironic tribute to a real woman. This cult figure inspired and enriched several households and designers likewise.
