The 'Cabernet' decanter by Riedel is designed to decant a standard bottle of wine due to its 1050ml capacity. The well-shaped wine carafe is suitable for both red and white wine - whether old or young.
The long neck of the bottle ensures that the unfolded aromas are compressed and do not immediately escape from the belly. The strongly flared lip, on the other hand, ensures safe pouring, as well as the possibility of subjecting the decanted wine to prior nosing. At its lower end, the neck of the bottle opens to form the carafe belly. This in turn has got its widest point halfway up, where the side walls perform an almost angular curve. This contrasts the concavely curved neck of the bottle, giving the decanter carafe a look that is both modern and elegant.
