The ice bucket consists of an aluminum container with a capacity of 9,0l and an insert container made of polystyrene. With the insert, there is still a volume of 6,0l for ice cubes and crushed ice. Said inner container stands on several feet approx. 2,0cm above the ground. Underneath, the melt water, which passes through holed in the bottom of the insert, is collected. This way, ice cubes are kept cold and maintain their shape for up to 5 hours (at room temperature). Overall, the ice bucket holds about 300 ice cubes of average size.
The aluminum lid seals the interior by touching the drip insert instead of the aluminum housing. This makes for an almost airtight seal.
A practical handle is screwed to the center of the lid, which makes opening the bucket easy and hygienic.

Question : Is this dishwasher safe?
Answer:
The ice bucket is not dishwasher safe, as aluminum must never be cleaned in a dishwasher and the plastic insert could also be damaged. We recommend gentle hand washing with warm water and mild detergent.
Der Eiseimer ist nicht für die Reinigung in der Spülmaschine geeignet, da Aluminium grundsätzlich nicht im Geschirrspüler gereinigt werden darf. Wir empfehlen eine schonende Reinigung per Hand mit warmem Wasser und mildem Spülmittel.
