The Hoshizaki CM-50KE-HC produces compact cubelet ice for professional use in bars, restaurants, hotels and similar hospitality businesses. The small pieces of compressed ice have an irregular structure and are suitable for preparing and presenting drinks as well as for chilling and displaying food.
Its stainless steel exterior is designed for regular use in commercial working environments. The integrated storage bin holds up to 18 kg of cubelet ice, keeping the produced ice readily available at the machine and providing a practical reserve during periods of varying demand without requiring a separate storage solution.
During production, ice formed inside the evaporator is removed by a rotating auger, transported through the system and compacted into cubelets measuring approximately 17 x 15 x 12 mm. This process allows the CM-50KE-HC to operate continuously and produce up to 55 kg of ice per 24 hours under the operating conditions specified by the manufacturer.
Continuous production supports a consistent supply of ice during daily operation. To maintain the required ice quality, the water-carrying components and the storage bin must be cleaned regularly in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The stainless steel exterior can be incorporated easily into the routine cleaning procedures of a commercial working area.
Electronic controls monitor the production process and coordinate the individual stages of ice making. As the unit uses air-cooled refrigeration, the ventilation areas and condenser should be inspected regularly and kept free from dust and other deposits to maintain the necessary airflow.
The air-cooled refrigeration system uses the natural refrigerant R290. Its self-contained configuration allows the machine to be commissioned without a separate refrigeration system once the water inlet and drain have been connected correctly. The Hoshizaki CM-50KE-HC is supplied with an installation kit and an ice scoop.
