The Hoshizaki FM-120KE-HCN is designed for professional operations with a consistently high demand for nugget ice. With a production capacity of up to 110 kg per 24 hours, the unit is suitable for bars, restaurants, hotels and catering operations. Its integrated storage bin holds up to 32 kg of ice, providing a readily available supply during busy service periods.
Nugget ice has a compact, firm structure and distributes evenly throughout a drink. The small pieces provide rapid cooling while supporting controlled dilution. This makes the ice particularly suitable for cocktails, long drinks, soft drinks and other chilled beverages.
Ice is produced using the auger system employed in Hoshizaki’s FM series. A double-hardened stainless-steel auger continuously processes the frozen water into firm nuggets. Carbon bearings operate without lubricating grease, removing the need for additional lubricants in this part of the ice-making system.
The closed water circuit reduces the number of points at which impurities can enter the production process. In addition, the CleanCycle6 system performs an automatic flushing cycle every six hours. This removes accumulated mineral deposits from the system and supports consistent ice production.
Electronic controls monitor and regulate the production process according to the current operating conditions. The integrated control display provides information about the condition of the unit and helps operators schedule preventive maintenance. An operating-hours-based parts replacement system provides additional maintenance guidance.
The AISI 441 stainless-steel exterior and double-hardened stainless-steel auger are suited to regular use in commercial working environments. An easily accessible air filter simplifies routine cleaning. Replaceable magnetic door gaskets also support the maintenance of the integrated storage bin.
The FM-120KE-HCN uses an air-cooled refrigeration system and the natural refrigerant R290. Its self-contained design allows the machine to be commissioned once the required water, drainage and electrical connections have been installed. An installation kit and ice scoop are included. Compatible water filtration systems are available separately.
