If you have ever enjoyed Mate tea in the traditional way, you will know that conventional drinking straws are not suitable, as they will block up. That's why there are special Mate straws for the perfect Mate experience. The Mate straw - called 'Bombilla' - features a spoon-shaped sieve on the lower end. The tiny holes stop the Mate leaves from clogging the straw.
As is traditional, these stainless steel bombillas are flattened at the mouth end. They come in a pack of 6 and are suitable for dishwashers. Please note that the sieve is firmly connected to the straw and can not be removed for cleaning.
