This capacious red wine glass from Riedel's 'Vinum' series is custom-designed and constructed for the multifaceted Pinot Noir grape variety. Its drinking goblet is expansive and round, featuring a low-lying and wide belly, as well as a relatively narrow mouth rim. The round depth of the glass has been conceptualized to capture all the nuances of the wine's complex body, creating an optimal balance between the individual traits of the grape. As a result, the shape of the goblet emphasizes the rich, fruity character while softening out the high acidity of the wine so that it is not too overbearing. The eye also enjoys drinking wine and thanks to the brilliant crystal glass, the colors of the wine can be seen unadulterated.

In the Vinum series, Riedel has introduced grape variety-specific glasses for numerous different types of wine. This Pinot Noir glass specializes in Pinot Noir from European growing areas. This has different properties than, for example, Australian Pinot Noir, for which the New World Pinot Noir glass from the Vinum range is intended.
