This small stemmed glass is the cognac glass from the 'Vino Grande' collection by Spiegelau. It has got a large, bell-shaped goblet somewhat reminiscent of a magnum glass. The typically very short stem makes it easy to hold and to move the glass to the mouth and nose. The stem in turn leads directly into a stable base. The goblet of a cognac glass is held in the open hand so that it can be easily swiveled with a small movement. Hence the alternative term 'cognac swivel'.
This cognac glass from the 'Vino Grande' line is a generous swivel glass. To ensure that the liquid reaches a moderate room temperature due to body heat, it is held in the open hand by the short stem. This allows the fruity aromas of brandy wines to unfold in all their glory. The cognac snifter by the producer Spiegelau is 15,3cm high and has a rim diameter of 10,2cm.
