This small but robust dash bottle is made of moulded glass and is cylindric and quite heavy. It is 12,5cm high and has a diameter of 5,5cm. Up to 100ml of bitters, syrups, liqueurs and oil can be filled into the bottle. The bottle opening has a diameter 1,5cm and the bottle neck is elongated. The bottle has a round glass bottom for a safe stand. Included with the bottle is a dash bottle pourer made of chromed plastic and natural cork. It has a length of 5,0cm and fits perfectly in to the bottle opening. The bottle is easy to due to the rippled surface.
Dash bottles are also called gasogene, spray bottle or wash bottle. They are mainly used to hold aromatic bitters like Angostura which adds a tasteful signature to cocktails like Mojitos and Manhattans and even is a required ingredient in other recipes. One dash equals to approx. 3 to 4 drops. Dashing is an efficient way of eye-balling small amounts of ingredients.
