This tamper was created by the Italian coffee experts from Motta. It is made of rustproof and durable stainless steel. The foot is finely crafted, has rounded corners and a slightly convex shape. The chrome nickel steel ensures a tasteless and high-quality pressing of coffee grounds. The attractive handle is made of black wood. It can be separated when you clean the metal part (hand wash only). This means that the more sensitive wooden handle does not get wet.
Hand tamper are used to press espresso or coffee powder into the portafilter of a coffee/espresso machine. This tamper is suitable for (porta)filters with a diameter of at least 59mm. Ideally, a tamper should be 1mm less in diameter than the filter.
