Sunshine, beaches and palm trees, is what we think of when we drink a Tiki cocktail. Tikis are usually designed to enhance this "exotic" atmosphere. The Tiki mug "Bamboo" e.g. is shaped like a bamboo tube. With its light brown and yellow colors it looks rather naturalistic. The ceramic mug features a cylindrical shape with two slight bulges of 7,7cm in diameter. The base and the rim diameter are 7,0cm.

Sugarcane looks very much like bamboo - and sugarcane is used to produce rum. Rum in turn is an essential ingredient of many Tiki cocktails. There are many delicious recipes, here is one of them:

Rum Rangoon:
6 cl white rum (Banks 5-Island)
2,5 cl fresh lime juice
1,5 cl rum-orange-liquor (Clément Créole Shrubb)
1 cl sugarcane syrup
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
1 dash Orange Bitters
Preparation:
Fill all ingredients into a shaker and add ice. Shake and strain into the Bamboo Tiki mug. Decorate with an orange wedge and a drinking straw in Bamboo design.
Tikis are supposed to be fun. The sweet and fruity cocktails, like Mai Tai and Zombie, produce a feeling of sun, beaches and palm trees. Naturally, the Tiki mugs are designed to underline the guest's imagination of 'exotic' places.
This Tiki mug in the shape of a bamboo tube looks rather naturalistic with its light brown and yellow colors - except that the surface is smooth and shiny. Each case contains four of these Bamboo Tiki Mugs.
