When the demand for flake ice is high, but quiet operation without warm exhaust air is required, the Brema G 280W HC flake ice maker with water cooling comes into its own: up to 280 kg of flake ice per 24 hours – consistent, fine, and easily moldable. The ice flakes (approx. −0,5 °C) cover products over a large area, can be dosed precisely by weight or volume, and support stable temperature control in presentation and processing.

Inside the ice maker, water freezes into a thin layer of ice in a cylindrical stainless steel evaporator. A rotating screw continuously lifts this ice and breaks it into loose, homogeneous flakes. This creates soft, malleable cold pads with a large contact surface – ideal for enveloping sensitive goods.

The water-cooled version dissipates waste heat via the cooling water. The advantages: no warm air in the room and very quiet operation – perfect for narrow counter areas without sufficient air flow or very warm or air-conditioned rooms. A supply and drain for the cooling water are required; the corresponding water consumption must be taken into account. The refrigeration cycle of this ice machine uses R290 (propane) – a refrigerant with a very low greenhouse effect, making it environmentally friendly and energy-efficient at the same time.
