Drink Mixer
Drink mixers are electrically operated mixers for preparing milkshakes, frappés or smoothies. They consist of a base station with an electric motor, which drives a mixing rod (spindle). Open metal mixing cups can be inserted easily by either hanging or placing them on the base station, depending on the model.
The main difference compared to blenders is the non-enclosed design and the use of spindles instead of blades. In addition to the name, you can already tell that drink mixers are primarily designed for mixing liquids, and not like for shredding ice, nuts and other solid ingredients.
The low-vibration motors of the drink mixers often have several adjustable speed levels and reach up to 18000 rpm. For high-demand operations, models with up to three spindles are available to prepare multiple drinks at the same time.
