The bulbous part of the calyx concentrates the flavours of the individual drink. With the constricted shape of the calyx, the aromas are bundled for a precise aromatic representation of the liqueurs. When drinking, the liquid is guided along the straight outer walls towards the drinking rim - drop by drop. Thanks to the slender stem on which the goblet sits enthroned, the spirits can be heated by hand, if desired so. Otherwise, it lifts up the drink from the ground and therefore presents it very well. This Grappa glass is suitable for aperitifs and various types of liquor, that may be served before or after meals, as well as for tasting grappa and even some brandies.
