The large red wine glass from the 'Rotation' series by Zwiesel Glas is made of high-quality crystal glass and the chalice offers plenty of room for the red wine aromas to unfold. In contrast to this classically shaped chalice, the stem is faceted – it is in fact decagonal. As the stem is only around 7mm thick, the edges are barely visible and only slightly noticeable to the touch. From a distance, it looks like a conventional, smooth stem, but when used, it becomes a feast for the eyes and fingers. The glass base is also faceted: here the edges continue as only slightly raised rays to the edge of the base.
The 'Rotation' red wine glass weighs 182g and is pleasantly balanced. The faceted stem widens towards the top and the chalice sits on it. The wine glass is best held slightly below the chalice.
