For getting 1l rosewater, you need 3000 to 5000kg rose petals. They use a special kind of roses which are rich in oil. It is cultivated commonly in Bulgaria. Even Giffard Rose syrup is produced in an equal way: the maceration. At thisjuncture the maceration process extracts oil. Wheather syrup or rosewater you get a natural taste and flavour with this processing.
