A swizzle stick is a kind of whisk for drinks, especially swizzle cocktails.
This simple and practical model is made of stainless steel and has 5 protruding rods at its lower end. When the stirring rod is set in motion by turning it between the palms of the hands, they whisk up the liquid. Unlike with a mixing spoon, the ingredients of the drink are not simply mixed together, but air is mixed in. In addition to this so-called aerification, the swizzle stick also ensures rapid cooling when used to swirl crushed ice in the drink.
Please only use this swizzle stick in sturdy mixing glasses and drinking glasses, as it is made of stainless steel and weighs approx. 130g.
Originally, swizzle sticks were made of branches and even today, wooden swizzle sticks are widely used.
