Woodruff is a native plant in north-, middle- and east europe. The plant can reach a height of 50cm. It will be picked during the flowering season in may and june. The pleasant-smelling herb is used in the natural medicine. It has a calming effect and helps with sleeplessness, has an antiinflammatory effect and can be used for skin rashes.
Woodruff is also used to flavour May Wine (Maibowle) and Berliner Weiße beer. Furthermore you can create delicious cocktails, iced teas, lemonades and desserts with the woodruff syrup by Giffard.

Mango-Woodruff Wine
2cl Woodruff syrup
0,5cl Mango syrup
12cl white wine
Ice cubes
Shake ingredients and serve without ice cubes in a Martiniglass.
Ingredients: sugar syrup, water, concentrated lemon juice, natural flavouring, natural woodruff flavouring, plant extract (safflower), acidifying agent: citric acid (E330), colouring agent: Brilliantblue FCF (E133)
