The Hoshizaki FM-60KE-HC produces fine, easily shaped flake ice for professional use in hospitality, food service and food processing. Its large contact area allows the ice to surround chilled products evenly, making it particularly suitable for fish and seafood displays, buffets, salad bars and the refrigerated presentation of delicate food.
The stainless steel exterior is designed for regular use in commercial working environments and allows the machine to be incorporated into existing preparation or service areas. The integrated storage bin holds up to 26 kg of flake ice directly inside the unit, providing a practical reserve when demand varies throughout the working day.
During production, a layer of ice forms inside the evaporator and is continuously removed by a rotating auger before being discharged as loose flake ice. The pliable ice is easy to distribute and creates extensive contact with the products being chilled. Under the operating conditions specified by the manufacturer, the FM-60KE-HC produces up to 65 kg of ice per 24 hours.
Continuous operation supports a consistent supply of fresh flake ice during service. To maintain hygienic production and consistent ice quality, the storage bin and all water-carrying components must be cleaned regularly in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The smooth stainless steel exterior also facilitates routine care of the machine.
Electronic controls monitor and coordinate the individual stages of ice production. As the ice maker uses air-cooled refrigeration, the ventilation areas and condenser should be inspected regularly and kept free from dust and other deposits to maintain the required airflow and reliable cooling performance.
The refrigeration system uses the natural refrigerant R290. Its self-contained configuration eliminates the need for a separate refrigeration unit and allows the FM-60KE-HC to be commissioned once the water inlet and drain have been connected correctly. The Hoshizaki FM-60KE-HC is supplied with an installation kit and an ice scoop.
