The Hoshizaki IM-240XWPE-U series has been developed for professional environments with high ice demand and combines water-cooled refrigeration technology with a modular, stackable design. As the units are supplied without an integrated storage bin, storage capacities can be individually configured and adapted to different operational requirements.
The modular system allows multiple ice makers to be installed vertically in a space-saving configuration, providing a scalable solution for growing production demands in hospitality, bars, hotels and catering environments. Different cube sizes within the range also allow adaptation to various beverage and service concepts.
To ensure consistently high ice quality, the series uses Hoshizaki’s Closed Cell production system. Each individual ice cell is filled separately with fresh water so that only the required amount of water is used. Excess water and mineral residues are removed during the production cycle, supporting the creation of clear, hard and taste-neutral ice cubes.
The UltraCUBE models additionally feature integrated UV-C hygiene technology that continuously supports the water section and contributes to reducing microbial contamination. Combined with the closed water circuit, this creates a highly hygienic production process with consistently high ice quality.
An electronically controlled variable-speed DC water pump ensures precise water supply while also supporting efficient energy and water consumption. The robust stainless steel construction is designed for long-term professional use and simplifies daily cleaning and maintenance.
The water-cooled configuration is particularly suitable for environments with high ambient temperatures or limited airflow, as cooling performance remains stable regardless of room conditions. The units operate with natural refrigerant R290 and combine high production performance with environmentally conscious refrigeration technology.
The scope of delivery includes an installation kit, bracket and ice scoop. Optional storage bins and accessory components can be added to adapt the ice production system to individual operational requirements.
For water-cooled units, the condenser circuit should be connected to a closed-loop water system. Connecting these units directly to the mains water supply may violate local water authority regulations.
