In 1857, this high-fat nut was discovered in Australia by a German-Australian botanist, geographer, and physician named Ferdinand von Mueller. Known as "the queen of nuts," it is now cultivated in places such as Hawaii and grows on evergreen trees that can reach heights of up to 6 meters. The shell is very hard, but what lies beneath is a healthy treasure trove: calcium, iron, potassium, and vitamins. The fats, in particular, are very wholesome.
