Yuzu is a hybrid lemon variety of mandarin orange and Ichang lemon, which is especially common in Japan and Korea, where it is very popular as a spice. To make this special essence usable for lemonades, iced teas, cocktails, liqueurs, as well as for cooking and baking, French Maison Routin 1883 created this Yuzu syrup. It interprets the special sweet and sour taste of the Asian fruit authentically and at the same time in a completely new way. Calm mandarin flavors are refined by lively lemon undertones, resulting in a versatile and balanced ensemble of sweet and sour.
Recipe Yuzu Mojito:
5cl white Rum
3cl 1883 Yuzu syrup
Mint leaves, lime wedges and soda
Muddle lime wedges, mint leaves, and yuzu syrup in a highball glass and fill it up with crushed ice. Then add the rum on top and fill the remaining glass with soda water.
Ingredients: Cane Sugar, water, yuzu juice and lemon juice from concentrate (7%), acid: citric acid, natural flavoring.
