When cold needs to be molded rather than blocked, the Brema GB 601A HC flake ice maker is the right choice: up to 67 kg of flake ice per 24 hours. Flake ice (approx. −0.5 °C) clings to products, cools quickly, and can be precisely dosed by weight or volume – perfect for presentation and process cooling.

How is flake ice made?

In the stainless steel evaporator, water freezes into a thin layer of ice, which is continuously removed by a rotating screw. This produces ice in its most natural form: fine, uniform flakes with a large contact surface for efficient, gentle cooling.

Air cooling: easy to set up, no cooling water required

This ice maker uses R290 (propane) as a refrigerant: efficient, modern, and with a very low greenhouse effect. For the air-cooled version, clean airflow at the installation site is required to reliably dissipate heat from the unit.
