(Centrifugal) Juicer

Centrifugal juicers have a cylinder or cone with a grating disc and a strainer. The fruit or vegetable to be juiced is first pushed into the filling chute with the help of a tamper or stamp; the lid of the juicer is also part of the safety lock on most devices, so that the juicer can only be operated when it is closed.

In operation, a powerful motor drives the centrifuge; The fruit is first crushed by rotating at high speed and then filtered through a sieve by centrifugal force. This way of operation enables very fast juicing, which is why centrifugal juicers are in great demand, especially in the catering trade. Centrifugal juicers are also suitable for juicing hard fruit and vegetables. Softer fruit and vegetables, such as berries or herbs, on the other hand are better juiced with auger juicers, which operate at lower rotating speeds.

The housings of centrifugal juicers are mostly made of stainless steel and plastic. Other parts, such as the juice box are made entirely of plastic. Due to the fact that most devices can be partially dismantled, they are easy to clean.
