Rum is an important component of our cocktail and bar culture, yet it is much more powerful than to just serve as a basis for other drinks. With the Do Your Rum Set you can make the best of your rum. 9 glass tubes with various dried fruits and spices as well as 3 types of flavored wood chips infuse the spirit with their individual notes.
Whether it's a sweet taste with vanilla-qualities or a spicy undertone with the snappy taste of orange, it is all up to you. The base for the recipe is your selected rum (not included). A white, unripened rum is best. It has less flavor of its own and can absorb the aromas better.
The Do Your Rum Set includes two 350ml glass bottles and a sieve in an attractive copper-color. Put the rum into a bottle together with your selection of wood chips to start the maturing. After about 2-4 weeks the rum can be strained using the sieve. The fruits and spices then have to stay in the bottle for about a week and provide the finishing touch. Of course, you can also buy aged rum and refine it with the spices. This saves you the time it takes to mature in the bottle. But you may also have only half the joy of experimenting.
The rum set contains enough material to try out several recipes. You can also add other spices at will.

Ingredients: cut freeze-dried fruits (1,5g pineapple, 4g apple, 1,5g cherry, 3g orange), 3x4g oak chips, 10g ground nutmeg, 5g pecans, 6g raisins (99,5% sultanas, 0,5% sunflower oil), 13g vanilla sugar (95 raw cane sugar, 5% bourbon vanilla ground), 8g cinnamon cut.
