Manual juicer ‘Mexican elbow’

Manual handheld juicers that can be operated with one hand are also referred to as 'Mexican Elbow' juicers. These bar tools have their name from the way they work; They consist of two arms, which are connected by a hinge. Halved citrus fruits are placed in the recess. Then a cone is pressed into the fruit by a pressing both arms together. The juice from the citrus fruit then flows out through holes on the underside that work like an integrated strainer and retain larger parts such as fruit pits in the press. The fruit juice is either poured directly into the guest glass or into a shaker, a mixing glass or similar.

Mexican elbow juicers are made of aluminum or stainless steel; however, they are available in different colors such as black, yellow or orange. The price difference between simpler and more expensive designs can vary drastically, but even the most expensive Mexican Elbow models are usually cheaper than simple lever juicers for home users.
